Ontario’s Data Strategy will explore new opportunities for data use across Ontario and protect people’s data rights from growing risks. By sharing your views, you can help develop a strategy that reflects your needs and concerns – whether you are a parent concerned about how your child’s data is used, a business owner trying to safely and responsibly implement a data-driven business model or a resident concerned about how data-driven changes are affecting your community. You can learn more about this work at ontario.ca/datastrategy.
Throughout 2019, three phases of public consultations will be carried out:
Phase 1: Initiate
Launch an initial consultation on the data strategy (online)
See Phase 1 results
Phase 2: Propose
Begin province-wide roundtables and continued consultations to explore key topics (in person and online)
Phase 3: Refine
Refine and finalize the strategy with the public and businesses (in person and online)
During these roundtable consultation sessions, you will be given the opportunity to have a focused, in-depth discussion about public trust and confidence in Ontario's data economy. Limited space is available.
