Capital Access & Adoption
OBIO® supports early-stage and venture-backed life sciences and health tech companies enabling them to raise capital, hire and train industry-ready talent, facilitate the commercialization and market adoption of their technologies in health systems, and access infrastructure.
From a commercialization and market adoption’s perspective, we support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) at each stage of their journey, starting at the early-seed stage of venture financing with access to capital through HealthMINT™ (a commercialization and investment readiness program), then transitioning to Seed and post-Seed stage ventures with CAAP® (Capital Access Advisory Program), and finally moving into the commercial stage through EAHN™ (Early Adopter Heath Network) and procurement programs.
HealthMINT™ increases the preparedness of health science companies for accessing non-dilutive grants, dilutive investments and strategic partnership opportunities.
The Capital Access Advisory Program (CAAP®) focuses on accelerating technology commercialization, post-seed financing and strategic partnerships.
The Early Adopter Health Network (EAHN™) promotes Canadian companies with technologies ready for adoption to a network of health organizations, supporting the organizations to evaluate and disseminate the technologies domestically, which leads to international export.
