Fluid Biomed Closes $27 Million USD Series A to Fund Expanded Human Clinical Studies

Calgary-based medical device start-up Fluid Biomed has secured $27 million USD in Series A funding to fuel the development of its innovative stent for brain aneurysms. Fluid Biomed’s flow-diverting brain stent is constructed of bioabsorbable polymer and metal, a move away from stents traditionally made purely of metal. The startup plans to use this Series A funding to validate the device in more expanded human clinical studies.

FluidBiomed is an OBIO® member and presented at the OBIO® Investment Summit.
