Here is what some H2BB participants have to say about the relevancy of the skills and knowledge provided:
“This type of specialized business training is not readily available in Ontario in a format that allows participants to maintain the demands of their full-time jobs. It is the synergies that are created from learning and working concurrently that reveal the greatest impacts of the H2BB program on productivity, as I was able to turnaround and apply the practical skills taught in the H2BB classes immediately in my work. Conversely, I was able to refine the implementation of best practices into my repertoire through weekly discussions on the do’s and don’ts with the course instructors, who bring years of experience from the pharma, biotech and medtech industry. I strongly recommend that health sciences companies in Ontario take advantage of the resources available through OBIO for the benefit of their employees and in turn their company.”
Scientist at a bioinnovation company
“The H2BB program has been a wonderful experience, from the skilled and knowledgeable staff to the well-thought out curriculum, the program managed to encapsulate the essential tools needed to commercialize a scientific product. The project management modules gave us a broad understanding of the 49 project management processes. I took the project management tools provided by the H2BB program and used them towards creating a project plan for my own company. With no previous knowledge on the subject, I was able to execute and meet the goals of an Alpha Program.”
