Last week, OBIO hosted a day of meetings with Dr. Jonathan Shieh, Executive Director, Science and Technology Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office.

The meeting brought Dr. Shieh together with officials from the Ontario government, Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, as well as high-potential Ontario health science companies, Braze Mobility and LifeShield Health.

As Taiwan looks to develop its health science industry within the context of its world-class ICT cluster and renowned science parks, OBIO facilitated conversations to find new opportunities to collaborate and help Ontario health science companies prepare for the global market.

Access to markets is one of the pillars of the work that OBIO does. Hosting a positive, collaborative discussion between Ontario health science companies, officials from the Ontario government and Dr. Shieh on behalf of the Science & Technology Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, is a step toward developing relationships as we work to build Ontario’s health science industry.
