OBIO is partnering with NRC-IRAP’s Biomedical Sector Team on a workshop on how Canadian companies and researchers can access funding, directly or indirectly, from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). Although less straightforward for Canadian companies than American, various pathways exist for Canadian companies to work with the NIH. The NIH is one of the largest investors in medical research and development and is currently sponsoring 160+ projects in Canada totaling more than $60M USD. NIH funding is vastly underutilized by Canadian companies.
