OBIO operates within a good governance framework and is accountable to its members, stakeholders, as well as to the general public.

Board Structure:
- Maximum 15 members
- Members will serve a 2 year term which are renewable twice
- Initial terms may be staggered
Board Composition:
- Reflects membership and stakeholders who participate in the delivery of the OBIO mandate to improve the business and operating climate in which life science companies operate
- Board meetings will be held as determined by the Board mandate
Board Committees and Advisory Boards:
- Committees will be formed to assist in and guide the delivery of activities identified in the OBIO strategic plan
- Advisory Boards will provide input and guidance relevant to specific areas of expertise as identified in the OBIO strategic plan
