Ontario Bioscience Industry Organization (OBIO) works with life science partners across Ontario and the Government of Ontario on policies and activities that enable the successful development and commercialization of life science technology such as through investment, strategic alliances, stakeholder engagement and industry promotion.
OBIO is a not-for-profit organization composed of bioscience industry leaders dedicated to the advancement of the health science industry in Ontario including: biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, contract research, financial industries and service providers.
Ontario has strong assets on which to further enhance the jurisdiction as an ideal place in which to invest in the life sciences sector. Collaboration and partnership opportunities provided by OBIO and our partners build on Ontario’s success as one of the leading life science jurisdiction in Canada.
Ontario is the largest hub of biomedical activity in Canada and the fourth largest biomedical research centre in North America. The life sciences sector employs 43,000 people at more than 800 companies across the province, generating annual revenues of more than $14 billion.
